Cole Valley Classic
The transformation of this 1908 Classic Revival home in the heart of San Francisco was a long and gratifying endeavor.
The ambitious renovation involved taking the house down to the studs with only the front historical façade to remain, lifting the house to create more headroom on the lower level, adding another story, raising the ceilings throughout, and opening up the back of the house to take in the city views.
The design directive was clear cut: classic architecture with paneled walls, soaring ceilings, and layered furnishings for a playful, colorful, and inviting aesthetic.
