Dolores Heights Modern Victorian

A 1865 Queen Anne Victorian home in the heart of Dolores Heights in San Francisco was carefully restored and reconfigured for a young family of 5.  LND worked in close collaboration with the architect and client to maintain as much of the original Victorian details in the home, including the original trim, staircase, stained glass windows, door hardware, and ceiling medallions.  New finishes, cabinetry and bathrooms were added, along with a lower level excavation to create a bar and media room and outdoor patio.  Modern furnishings and art were juxtaposed with ornamental architecture to create a dialogue of then and now.
